Caring For Your Outdoor Furniture
Do you want to look after your garden furniture set properly? Then you have come to the right place, with tips and tricks your set will be very well looked after.
Firstly, let’s start with the frame of your outdoor furniture whether that be the cast aluminium or rattan. It is best practice to wash the frames with warm soapy water, start at the top of the furniture and work your way down. If you have rattan the wipe left to right in the same direction of the rattan to ensure no bits are missed. Leave this to dry for a few hours and it will come up good as new. We advise that no harsh chemical cleaning products are used for example Dettol, as this contains alcohol which over time will damage the set. Diluted dish soap is ideal for this. It is good practice that tree sap and any spillages are wiped of the furniture quickly to avoid staining to the weave.
Our cushions are water resistant however we highly recommend that the cushions are put somewhere dry when it rains. View our cushion storage HERE. If your cushions do get wet then turn them on their side, zip facing the floor and leave to dry out. Our cushions are machine washable so if there are any accidents simply unzip, take the sponge inner filling out and put in the washing machine on a 30’ wash.
Cleaning the glass table is the most satisfying thing in our opinion. Simply use warm soapy water on a microfiber cloth and move in circular motions. If an oil-based product has been on the table this may have to be done a few times.
Although we advise a weather cover is used this is not a must as all our garden furniture is designed to be left outside all year round. A weather cover will help protect your new garden furniture set from the elements, especially during the winter months. If your unsure on what weather cover to purchase, use our contact us form and we can advise further.

Tips & Tricks
- Put the cushion covers back on the inner foam when they are still damp.
- Flip the furniture carefully on its side (on soft flooring) to be able to clean the inside
- Use your ice bucket to put the soapy water in
- Using two people to put the cushion covers back on makes it so much easier, one person bends the cushion foam inner in half and the other place the cover over
- After washing the glass with warm soapy water, use glass cleaner to give a non streaky shinny finish
